I needed to have surgery, so I was in sort of a hospital where they prepare you for surgery, but then you have to go to the other hospital where you actually get the surgery. They cut open my throat in an I shape, so there were like flaps that the doctor could fold open to get to my throat. It didn't hurt and I could still talk. They gave me a scarf or soemthing to wrap around my throat, and then told me that I needed to drive myself to the other hospital. I thought that was weird, but I felt ok so I did it, except that there was a bit of built up ice on the road and I didn't know where I was going. Finally I made it to the hospital and went to check in, but they told me that I was at the children's hospital and asked how did I get myself there with my throat cut open like that? I shrugged and explained that the first doctor said they were just preparing me. These people gave me directions to the correct hospital and told me to hurry so I didn't lose a lot of blood, even though I didn't realize I was bleeding until that point. I was driving to the new hospital and somehow instead I ended up at work. The principal was standing in the lobby and demanded to know where I had been. I started to explain about needing surgery but he just grabbed me by the arm and told me to get to work.
